Kenneth Parker Seaman was born on 27 July 1896 in Norman, Ontario, a small community just west of Kenora in northwestern Ontario. His parents Joshua Seaman and Isabelle Parker were both from Leslie, Pontiac, Quebec, marrying on 1 July 1891 in Carleton Place, Lanark, Ontario. Farming in Leslie, their first child, daughter Leila Grace, was born in 1893. A short time later the family moved to Norman to farm, giving birth to son William Edward in 1894 and twin daugthers Margaret Elizabeth (Maggie) and Kathleen May in 1899. By the time of the 1906 census the family had moved to the Whitemouth, Manitoba area where they farmed.
With the onset of conscription in the latter part of the war, Parker had his medical examination in Winnipeg on 14 December 1917 and was called up on 3 May 1918. His occupation was given as farmer, his father in Whitemouth as next of kin, and his year of birth as 1897. Earlier having been granted a harvest leave, Parker was discharged from service as a Private with the 1st Depot Battalion Manitoba Regiment on 10 January 1919 in Winnipeg.
On 20 June 1928, in Winnipeg, Parker married Dorothy May Gilchrist. Born on 27 March 1906 in Ottawa, Dorothy was the daughter of John Gilchrist and Violet Eva Fields. As a young child she had moved to Whitemouth with her parents and siblings where her father was the railway agent. Over the years Parker worked as a fireman for the Canadian Pacific Railway out of Whitemouth. The couple gave birth to two children, Ferne Eileen and Gilbert Morgan. In later life Parker and Dorothy moved to Winnipeg.
Parker died on 19 April 1953 in Winnipeg. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife Dorothy, son Morgan and daughter Ferne (Robert) Turner, and sisters Maggie (Franklin) Brown and May (Thomas) Burgess. He was predeceased by his sister Leila (George) Argue in 1923, father Joshua in 1942, mother Belle in 1944, all interred in the Whitemouth Cemetery, and brother William in 1945 in Winnipeg. Dorothy died on 9 January 1964 in Winnipeg and is interred with Parker in Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg.
