According to his attestation papers, Ladimier Ivanovitch was born 25 May 1892 in Russia. In 1917 he was drafted into the Canadian Expeditionary Force. He signed his attestation papers on 11 November of 1917 in Winnipeg. It was noted that he was a defaulter, meaning he had not shown up when first called. At that time he was single, living in Winnipeg and worked as a labourer. His medical exam on 04 April 1918 showed he was fit for service with a classification of A2.
Ladimier saw service with the 1st Depot Battalion, Manitoba Regiment in Canada, embarking from Montreal for England on 6 July 1918. Once there he trained with the 18th Reserve Battalion before being transferred to the Canadian Railway Troops Depot at Purfleet in September. With the end of the war he returned to Canada in December, arriving in Halifax aboard the Corsican on the 25th. Ladimier was discharged from service in Winnipeg on 25 January 1919.
After the war he moved to Northwestern Ontario and worked as a lumberman in Mando bush camps. Later he was a watchman for the Department of Highways. He married Ivy Olfiey and they had two daughters, Olga and Nadia.
Ladimier drowned in Lake of the Woods on 25 June 1959. His body was recovered near Keewatin Beach on July 1st of the same year. He was buried in the Legion plot at Lake of the Woods Cemetery on July 3rd 1959. His wife Ivy died in 1984 and is also buried in the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
