Death Details |
According to his attestation papers that he signed on 22 February 1916 in Kenora, Ontario, Daniel Logan was born on 23 August 1874 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. A birth registration was not found nor was an age appropriate immigration/passenger list record of his coming to Canada. He gave his son Edward with the 10th Battalion CEF in England as next of kin but an Edward Logan did not serve with this battalion or any other Canadian battalions that were not already accounted for/people confirmed. He gave his occupation as a farmer in Regina but no evidence of his having lived in Regina was found. He gave military experience as service of 16 years with the Nots & Derby Regiment. Daniel was struck off strength as a deserter on 3 April 1916. As his identity could not be confirmed, the whereabouts of this man after desertion is not known.
