Carter, James G

The name of James G Carter appeared in the 12 August 1914 edition of the Kenora Miner and News as one of the new volunteers for service. His identity and service could not be confirmed but it could be that he was George James Carter, service number 1610 who enlisted at Valcartier, Quebec on 21 September 1914. Although he gave his wife’s address as in Winnipeg, it is possible that he was working as a freight clerk out of Kenora.
