In the spring of 1919 the towns of Kenora and Keewatin held a reception at the Tourist Hotel in Kenora to welcome back the veterans from the war. In an article about it published in the Kenora Miner and News on 2 April 1919, the name of G Wright appeared on the list. His identity could not be confirmed.
