Anton David Sorensen (Sorenson) was born on 13 August 1889 in Egtved, Denmark. Before immigrating to Canada he served for seven months with the volunteers in Copenhagen. Private Frank Murphy enlisted in May 1916 and served for three years with the Fort Garry Horse. He became ill with influenza in 1918 but he survived the war and returned to Canada in May 1919.   The Hulmes family was from Manchester, Lancashire in England where parents Thomas and Martha (Pennington) had married on 24 March 1883. Charlebois, Phillip (Philippe)

Private Phillip (Philippe) Charlebois enlisted in February 1916 and served overseas with the 43rd Battalion. He was severely wounded at the Battle of the Somme in October 1916.
